Al-Nassr claimed the winning title in the inaugural AFC eChampions League Elite
The AFC eChampions League Elite 2025 took place in Jeddah from 24 to 28 April, in conjunction with the AFC Champions League Elite™ Finals.

Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr claimed the title in the inaugural AFC eChampions League Elite (eACL), which concluded on April 28, 2025, in Jeddah. The tournament, launched by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for the 2024/25 season, marked a significant milestone in the continent’s growing esports scene. Featuring 16 clubs - eight from West Asia and eight from East Asia - the competition showcased eFootball™ talented player representing professional football clubs that also participated in the AFC Champions League Elite.
The eACL followed a two-phase format: a League Stage and a Knockout Stage. Al-Nassr excelled in the West Region’s round-robin group matches and progressed through the intense knockout rounds. They overcame Japan’s Yokohama F. Marinos in the semifinals before defeating Iran’s Persepolis F.C. 2-0 on aggregate in a thrilling final.
The Saudi club’s success was powered by standout performances from players Amjad Alqarni and Sief Addeen Dababneh. AFC President Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa congratulated Al-Nassr, praising their outstanding display and competitive spirit. He also extended his gratitude to the Local Organizing Committee and the Saudi Arabian Football Federation for their role in delivering a successful tournament.
The 2025 edition of the eACL not only crowned a deserving champion but also signaled a promising future for esports within the AFC’s football ecosystem and the football esports scene in general.
The AFC eChampions League Elite (eACL) is the Asian Football Confederation’s official eFootball™ console competition, launched in the 2025, following the success of the international AFC eAsian Cup 2023 that took place in February 2024. Featuring clubs from across West and East Asia, it also features esports representatives from participating professional football clubs.
