Another year, another trophy! - Denmark’s Anders Vejrgang does it again and claims victory over Italy’s Obrun with a narrow 5-4 victory which earned him the FC Pro Open 25 winning title on 2 February in London, England. As it usual in these two stars' encounters, the match saw top-leveled and outstanding performances.

While Vejrgang scored the first goal via penalty kick, Obrun kept calm and equalized throughout the whole match until he inevitably couldn't match the extra goal by the Danish. Vejrgang did not only take the USD 100'000 prize home, but also a valuable qualification to the FC Pro World Championship along with Obrun, Levi de Weerd, LJR Peixoto, jafonso and nicolas99fc.

Key remarks of the FC PRO Open 25

Stingray's dominance: In Group A, Stingray secured a commanding 7-1 victory over Jafonso, showcasing a highly offensive gameplay.

Vejrgang's unbeaten Run: The Danish Champion remained undefeated in Group B, accumulating 21 points and defeating top players like nicolas99fc and Manu Bachoore, and achieving qualification.

Obrun's consistency: In Group C, Obrun achieved six wins out of ten matches, demonstrating his usual composed demeanor and consistency.

Levi de Weerd's strategy: Group D saw Levi de Weerd clinch the top spot on goal difference, capitalizing on late-stage losses by AbuMakkah.

Jafonso's goals: Jafonso saw a favorable group stage, achieving the second place in Group A right under Stingray, however, most of the Portuguese's matches were full of goals - both for and against. As an example, the first match of the day versus Ktzn91 was a close call, after Ktzn91 great performance which earned him losing only by one goal in a 7-6 victory in the last minute.
