Day one of the FIFAe Nations Cup 2022™ presented by EA SPORTS™ kicked off at the Bella Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark with the national anthems of the participating nations with passion and intent. Through the first matches of the Group stage, countries have been showcasing their confidence competing on the biggest stage in front of fans across the world.
The competition day kicked off at 11am with the Group A & C matchups. Atmosphere in the arena was electric as countries from around the world had support from the team on-site, especially the local nation Denmark - who brought an airhorn to celebrate their goals - but all players were quickly settled by matchups coming thick and fast.
It is currently Spain who have looked unplayable at times - having a goal difference of 7 - the most of the tournament so far. They are joined at the top of their respective groups by the home nation Denmark, Germany and Poland, though everything could change in the second half of the Group stage match-ups tomorrow on Day 2.

In Group A to start the day, Denmark and Argentina have both impressed. Argentina made the final back in 2019 - the last LAN version of this event - and their form has continued through into 2022. Brazil and Scotland have struggled, sitting in the drop zone behind England and Singapore. In Group C, Spain is the only nation to stay unbeaten, but closely followed in point totals by Portugal and Israel, whose representatives compete with each other at club-level and international-level. Korea Republic and Kazakhstan will need to have both an impressive day two to qualify, as they both sit on one point each. The last qualification spot is claimed at present by Canada.
Groups B & D provided more shocks on the virtual pitches as the group favourites struggled early on to create momentum and rhythm through the first round of matchups. Italy and Sweden both had slow starts, whilst the United Arab Emirates and Poland had successful days. Peru, India and Morocco sit in the drop zone needing positive starts to day two in order to keep their qualification hopes alive. France and Germany have looked strong in Group B, whilst the Netherlands also joins Poland at the top of Group D.
