About the competition

After the FIFAe Club Online Qualifiers 2023™, 960 participating teams, 4080 games played
and 28377 goals, finally the Playoffs are here! The FIFAe Club Playoffs 2023™ is the final stage before the last, most important event – The FIFAe Club World Cup 2023™. As a result of these Playoffs, the best 22 Clubs qualify and join the two qualified Clubs of the EA SPORTS Cup (TG.NIP and FNATIC) in a battle for glory.

What you need to know

Surprises, comeback victories, tiebreakers and many goals made day one of the FIFAe Club Playoffs 2023™ a solid opening of this event. Here are some things that what went down during the first day:

  • The current FIFAe Club Champions struggled at first to get on top, but they eventually successfully qualified once again for the FIFAe Club World Cup 2023™

  • Manchester City Esports managed to qualify and knock FC Twente x Azizt out after a thrilling penalty shootout within the losers' bracket.

  • Goliath Gaming had an incredible performance with 5 wins, 1 draw and the concession of only 2 goals. Goliath Gaming is now the first-ever team from Africa to qualify to the pinnacle event!

  • With only one spot from the Middle East region, xRaptors Twisted Minds made their way to grab the region’s spot in a dramatic fashion by scoring the decisive goal in the 2 minutes of stoppage time of the qualifying match.

  • AFC Ajax Brazil has won the Playoffs for the South American region, which means that one of the current FIFAe Nations Champions, Phzin, has qualified for the pinnacle event.

  • On the other hand, MGCF was eliminated in a tight second match against SPQR Academy, conceding the latter Club their spot in the FIFAe Club World Cup. Therefore, Crepaldi, the other FIFAe Nations Champion, has been eliminated from this competition.

Qualified teams of Day One

As a result of day one, ten Clubs have already claimed their place among the 22 spots for the FIFAe Club World Cup 2023™. Here is how the qualifications went:
