  • Argentina, Denmark and Portugal breeze through to the next stage
  • Germany potent in attack - score 15 goals through the Group stage

Day two of the FIFAe Nations Cup 2022™ presented by EA SPORTS™ has concluded at the Bella Arena in Copenhagen. At the conclusion of the Group stage, we have found the 16 countries that have qualified for the Knockout stage of the competition and who will be showcasing their flag in tomorrow’s action.

The competition day kicked off at 11am with the Group A & C matchups. The home nation Denmark and England got off to a slow start - but it was Argentina who continued to impress on day two, extending their lead at the top of the table and remaining unbeaten. Kazakhstan turned their form around from day one, winning their first two matchups.

However, the best nation so far on both ends of the pitch has been Portugal and Spain - they share the highest goal difference at the end of the Group stage. Both synergies on the biggest stage and support from their individual nations have been the difference and they will be looking to carry this momentum into tomorrow’s Knockout stages.

In Group A, Denmark’s dominance with the rotating three of Marcuzo, Vejrgang and Ustun has continued to impress on home soil, but they could not finish above the powerful Argentinian trio of Nicolas99FC, Matiasbonanno9 and YagoFawaz. They are joined in the next stage by England and Brazil - who found confidence late on for a late charge into the top four of the group. In Group C, Portugal and Spain’s dominance has been evident throughout the entire two days, and spots tomorrow were confirmed early on. Kazakhstan’s positive start to day two put them in contention for a qualification spot, but ultimately it was Canada who prevailed for the last spot, joining a comfortable Israel side in the Knockout stage.

Spain Fist Bump

In Group B, Sweden soared to the top of the table by winning all three of their first matches on day two. Germany struggled initially despite their fans in the room, but quickly recovered to secure qualification. They are joined by first-time participants United Arab Emirates and previous FIFAe Nations Champion France, whilst there is no room for Japan or Peru in the Knockout stage. In Group D, Mexico have looked the most defensively impressed, conceding only 1 goal. Poland also continued their day one form, whilst the Netherlands and Italy also made light work of qualification, sending home India and Morocco.
