First-ever women only esports bootcamp hosted by FIFAe in Zurich from 14 to 16 June
The boot camp featured training, discussions, social activities, and state-of-the-art competition.
Maria Cecíliaand Fabienne resulted winner and runner-up and will travel to FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ in July
The FAMEHERGAME boot camp gave top FIFA players a chance to learn about various resources, both digital and physical, to improve their skills in competitions, their overall well-being and content creation. The boot camp presented the opportunity to compete for the once-in-a-lifetime prize – an all-expenses-paid trip to the FIFA Women's Football World Cup™ for one week in July 2023.
Players enjoyed an event full of inspiring discussions with experts in different fields like mental health, content creation and media management, and gameplay coaching.
The competition structure consisted of a group stage followed by a single elimination stage, that started on 15 June and finished on 16 June.
During the group stage, Players Cecilia_1707 from Brazil and Lisa Manley from England had a draw in terms of their group standing, leading Group A.
The qualified players from the Group stage were Cecilia_1707 (Brazil), Lisa Manley (England), CDT_RaquelTy (Portugal), Missvanessa90 (Belgium), Naladinho (Germany), Jeanglobard (Morocco), SLBDianaF7 (Portugal) and Jennii_Official (Germany)
Cecilia_1707 (Brazil) and CDT_RaquelTy (Portugal) made it to the semi finals with a crushing victory, but they faced fierce competition from Jeanglobard (Morocco) and Jennii_Official (Germany)
The quarter final match between Naladinho and Lisa Manley went to penalty shootouts and kept everyone on the edge of their seats, but ultimately resulted n Naladinho claiming the spot in the semi finals.
SLBDianaF7 and Missvanessa90 also gave an incredible battle, which ultimately resulted in Diana being the second Portuguese to qualify for the semi finals.
The first finalist was Cecilia_1707, who up to the point of the semi finals, had only conceded three goals throughout the whole competition. She won in a very tight set of games against Raquel.
The last spot in the finals was claimed by Naladinho in an thrilling match against SLBDianaF7
After two intense games in which her remarkable defense skills and her ability to take advantage of every chance, Cecilia_1707 claimed a well-deserved first place in the competition

If you missed the action, don't worry! Here is a recap of the FAMEHERGAME boot camp day by day.
A day packed with immersive experiences focused on coaching, training, and skill-building activities by experts kicked off the start of the boot camp. Participants from all over the world were welcomed at the Home of FIFA and started the day with inspiring talks from the esports presenter and host, Rachel Stringer, and Findus Krantz, social psychologist who represented the non-profit organization, Ditch the Label. In this welcoming session, participants were empowered and encouraged to continue their journey as football esports players in the FIFAe scene and were given technical resources and counselling to avoid and deal with cyberbullying and harassment online.
Throughout the day, players got the chance to know Samantha Miller, Kacey Anderson, Inta Janssen the champion of the FIFAe World Cup 2014, August “Agge” Rosenmeier, which gave room to discuss and learn from their personal experience on multiple online platforms, while also discussing insights and strategies for players to craft quality content to fame their game.
The day concluded with a session of physical training by Matt Young, where the players had the chance to prepare both their mind and their bodies to give it all on the virtual pitch. The evening, however, concluded with social activities at dinner where players were able to connect with each other. Day one of the FAMEHERGAME boot camp set the stage and marked a fine introduction for a feisty competition!
The second day of the FAMEHERGAME boot camp developed at the FIFA Museum, where players were welcomed by Rachel Stringer and a stage ready to go. The session started with gameplay coaching by Renzo Oemrawsingh and Daniel Fehr, which gave the players the opportunity to practice for the start of the tournament and get to know the referees of the day.
After an intensive half a day of insightful coaching, the Group Stage took place with quality matches and exciting moments throughout the day.
The standings of each group were ultimately claimed by
Cecilia_1707 and Lisa Manley in Group A.
CDT_RaquelTy and Missvanessa90 in Group B.
Naladinho and Jeanglobard in Group C.
SLB_DianaF7 and Jennii_Official in Group D.
Day two ended with the qualified players ready to kick off the elimination stage on day three. While the non-qualified players enjoyed the FIFA Museum, the qualified players got ready for the quarterfinals and final part of the competition.
The start of the third day of the boot camp focused on media training, designed to equip participants with essential skills for engaging with media and managing challenging interview scenarios. Players also participated in Q&A sessions and gave interviews to the media. Overall, the day started with interactive and hands-on experiences on media engagement.
On this day, the FIFA Interactive World Cup Champion Francisco Cruz and the twice World Cup Champion Alfonso Ramos were called to the stage for the surprise of themselves and the audience. The legends were invited to be a part of the Hall of Fame at the FIFA Museum and were interviewed on the stage. Beyond the honorific mention, this act also meant to be a perfect example on how to engage with media spontaneously.
The tournament resumed after anticipation had built up during the initial gameplay practice. While non-qualified players were able to enjoy the FIFA Museum and to witness the competition, the qualified players kicked off the quarter finals and displayed an electrifying gameplay.
Players gave an intense battle full of emotions and great victories in the quarter finals, including a breathtaking penalty shootout between Lisa Manley and Naladinho and several tight matches throughout the whole stage. Ultimately, while CDT_RaquelTy, Cecilia_1707, Naladinho and SLBDianaF7.
The semi finals started with a tight match between CDT_RaquelTy and Cecilia_1707 - both patient players and strategic players. However, although Raquel was a tough contender throughout the competition and this particular match, Cecilia managed to win 4-0, earn a spot in the finals, and a unique experience to go to the Women's World Cup in July.
The last semi finals match was between Naladinho and SLBDianaF, and resulted in the Naladinho's crushing victory. The semi finals were full of emotion, thrilling games and an energetic environment thanks to the players and the audience.
In the semi finals, Cecilia_1707and Naladinhoultimately dominated both their qualifying matches and claimed their qualification as finalists.
The players gave an exceptional display of talent, skills, strategy and almost clinical precision, concluding the match with Maria Cecília claiming the first place in this state-of-the-art competition, and Fabienne claiming the runner-up spot. Both players had an incredible defense and offensive, however, Cecilia managed to successfully take advantage of every chance she got to score.
It was an overall tight contest with Cecilia ultimately securing the first place and Naladinho proving to be a solid, highly skilled competitor. Both players received the all-paid-expenses trip FIFA Women's Football World Cup™.
The Good Game Promise initiative, born out of FIFAe's commitment to promoting inclusivity and well-being among players and communities, introduced the FAMEHERGAME program as an essential part of its mission to cultivate a healthy community and healthy players, starting by a boot camp. The aim of this boot camp was to enhance visibility, to create grassroots opportunities, and to establish a secure environment for women competing in in the FIFAe ecosystem.
The FAMEHERGAME boot camp took place from 14 June to 16 June. Over 20 Member Associations and the ECL have collaborated with FIFAe to organize and promote women’s participation in the boot camp and establishing a secure environment for women competing in in the FIFAe ecosystem to enhance visibility of women long-term.
