• xRaptors Twisted Minds, Napoli eSports, RBLZ Gaming – RB Leipzig and Apogee Poland lead their groups on day one.

• Brøndby Esport were the top scorers of the day, but did not manage to secure the first place in their group.

• RBLZ Gaming - RB Leipzig managed to stay on top of Group C.

The FIFAe Finals 2023 have kicked off with an exciting first day of the FIFAe Club World Cup 2023™ presented by EA SPORTS™ and Gamers8. After a few days in Riyadh, attending activities and challenges in the Gamers8: Land of Heroes, club players started the competition on 06 July. Prominent teams like FNATIC, TG.NIP, xRaptors Twisted Minds and Team Exeed were among the opening teams of the group stage.

The group stage started with a battle within groups, resulting in an evening filled with exciting occasions and an incredible atmosphere overall on the virtual pitch. Notable performers like Vejrgang, Ollelito, AboMakkah and Stingray gave their all and secured favorable scores for their teams, positioning themselves advantageously for day two of the group stage.

In case you missed the action, here are some of the highlights from day one:

• FNATIC, the runners-up and one of the first teams to qualify for the FIFAe Club World Cup 2023, initially struggled in Group A. However, they managed to defeat the group leaders until that point, Team FUTWIZ Europe. Ultimately FNATIC managed to claim the fourth spot of the table.

• xRaptors Twisted Minds, the local qualified team, dominated Group A and remained undefeated on day one.

• Napoli eSports also remained undefeated on day 1, but on a tighter Group B competing against KrowMx Esports

• TG.NIP started on the wrong foot but ended up making a comeback, claiming the second spot on the Group B table.

• Brøndby Esport were the top scorers of Day 1, scoring 15 goals in the five rounds of the group stage.

• The two South American clubs, SPQR Academy and AFC Ajax Brazil are currently in the two last spots of the table in Group C.

• RBLZ Gaming - RB Leipzig did not lose a single game on day one.

• Riders x Atlético de Madrid, the current champions of the FIFAe Club World Cup, finished in fourth place in Group C, having won only one game out of the five rounds.

After an intense first day, the leading clubs of day one were xRaptors Twisted Minds after dominating Group A; Napoli eSports on a tighter Group B; RBLZ Gaming – RB Leipzig, who managed to come back from a rocky start on Group C; and Apogee Poland, who surprisingly snatched the first place, despite team Brøndby Esport being the ones on a streak of goals during the first half.

In addition to the competition, the matches during day one were accompanied by figures like Rachel Stringer Mike Labelle, Brandon Smith and August “Agge” Rosenmeier, who kept the event full of entertainment, humor and insightful observations.
