FIFAe Continental Championships on the Road to the FIFAe Finals Announced, Major Step Forward for Global Football Esports

FIFA has officially unveiled the FIFAe Continental Championships, a landmark series of in-person competitions set to take place across five continents on the Road to the FIFAe Finals 2026, the pinnacle event of football esports.

Bringing together the region’s best national teams across Rocket League, eFootball™ Mobile and eFootball™ Console, the FIFAe Continental Championships represent the next major milestone in a global journey that has already seen more than 120 nations enter one of the biggest nation-based esports ecosystems, a 30 % increase year-on-year.

Five events will be hosted in-person and serve as the highest level of regional competition to date, reinforcing FIFA's commitment to building a structured, year-round football esports ecosystem while elevating competitive standards and storytelling across the game titles on a global level. Supported by FIFA’s established network of member associations and confederations, these events will be staged across the globe, culminating in the crowning of first-ever regional champions.

Five FIFAe Continental Championships will take place in-person as follows with their respective competition days:

FIFAe Continental Championship Asia

  • Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

  • Dates: 19 to 23 August

FIFAe Continental Championship South America by CBF

  • Location: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

  • Dates: 21 to 23 August

FIFAe Continental Championship Africa by FRMF/FRMJE

  • Location: Casablanca, Morocco

  • Dates: 27 to 29 August

FIFAe Continental Championship North & Central America and the Caribbeans by CONCACAF

  • Location: Mexico City, Mexico

  • Dates: 28 to 30 August

FIFAe Continental Championship Europe by FPF

  • Location: Oeiras, Lisbon, Portugal

  • Dates: 1 to 6 September

Each championship will bring together qualified nations from their respective regions, offering the community a unique opportunity to experience elite-level football esports live, while creating defining moments on the road to the FIFAe Finals 2026.

Following the initial qualification phase involving over 120 nations, the FIFAe Continental Championships mark the final step in narrowing down and crowning regional champions on each title.
