Some highlights of the day

  • England interrupted France’s winning streak in the last round of the day for Group B in a spectacular fashion.

  • Chile started with 2 strong victories against Oman and Norway, but couldn’t unfortunately surmount to the fourth place in the first day.

  • Brazil went through the first 3 rounds without a single defeat, while Saudi Arabia spent the first six matches with hardly a scratch.

  • The Americans Atomic, Beastmode and Daniel are the only ones to go undefeated for seven rounds, with only one draw against TRK511,Kiileerrz & Rw9

  • Oman was close to winning against the USA in an overtime of around 4 minutes, making it an incredible result for the nation that carries no points on the second day.

  • Saudi Arabia also defeated Brazil in the second game in a long overtime, with the Brazilians putting a tough fight.

  • Against all odds (with less than 4% of public votes), Italy won against Germany in the fifth round.

  • Newer teams like Oman, Norway and Malaysia will have a chance to recover on the second day.

  • The hosting nation and the runner-ups from last year are carrying similar stats towards Day 2: same amount of goals shot (47), same amount of games without conceded goals (5) and even the same amount of goals conceded (14)!
