Indonesia is the first-ever FIFAe World Champion featuring Football Manager

The inaugural FIFAe World Cup featuring Football Manager concluded on 1 September at the Exhibition Centre Liverpool, where history was made with the crowning of the first-ever champion. Indonesia emerged victorious, claiming the largest share of the prize pool after a fiercely competitive final match. The final saw intense performances from both nations, each backed by the tournament's largest fan bases. Indonesia and their opponent reached the finals by overcoming two of the tournament's strongest teams: South Africa and England.

  • Among the Final Four, England had the smallest starting squad.

  • Indonesia kept their strategy under wraps, making them the most unpredictable team in the Final Four.

  • England was eliminated after losing the away game 3-1.

  • Germany started their final day with a strong 4-0 victory against South Africa in the first leg.

  • Although South Africa scored first in the second leg, they couldn’t overcome the deficit, and Germany added another goal, securing a 5-1 aggregate victory.

  • Indonesia dominated their first match with a 3-0 win and continued their dominance in the second match, securing an 8-2 aggregate victory.

About the Competition

The first-ever FIFAe World Cup featuring Football Manager took place over five days, challenging managers and their assistants to navigate the complexities of traditional football management.
