Introducing the FIFAe Nations League

The FIFAe 2026 season introduces an expanded competitive structure for national teams, marking the largest international esports season ever organized within the FIFAe ecosystem. Featuring more than 120 national teams, the journey begins with the debut of the FIFAe Nations League.

The FIFAe Nations League is the first competition stage on the road to the FIFAe World Cup 2026™, providing national teams with a clear and competitive pathway toward the FIFAe Continental Championships and ultimately the FIFAe Finals.

Starting in April 2026, national teams will compete in the FIFAe Nations League across three titles:

  • eFootball™ Console (played in a 2vs2 format)

  • eFootball™ Mobile (played in a 2vs2 format)

  • Rocket League (played in a 3vs3 format)

How the FIFAe Nations League Works

National teams will compete fully online across three qualifying-weeks within their respective regions. In each qualifying-week, teams earn Consistency Points (CP) based on the results of the Group Stages and Knockout Stages.

At the end of the FIFAe Nations League, the national teams can qualify for their respective FIFAe Continental Championships through two pathways: by accumulating the highest consistency points across all three qualifying weeks, or by securing a direct slot as one of the top -performing nations in Week 3, continuing their journey towards the FIFAe World Cup 2026™.

FIFAe Nations League Seeding

Before each qualifying-week begins, national teams are placed into groups within their region.

To ensure competitive balance, national teams are seeded based on the FIFAe World Ranking. which reflects previous performances in FIFAe competitions.

The system distributes strong teams across different groups and creates the fairest possible competition.

The Competition Format

The FIFAe Nations League runs from 14 April to 16 July 2026. Throughout the three qualifying-weeks, national teams will compete within their region to earn CP points based on their performance.

The better a team performs in each qualifying-week, the more CP they earn and the higher their chances of advancing to the FIFAe Continental Championships.

In qualifying-week 1&2, national teams compete in a Single Round Robin Group Stage, followed by a Single Elimination Knockout Stage, with CP awarded throughout both stages.

The final qualifying-week raises the stakes. The lowest-ranked teams are eliminated after the Group Stage, with the highest-ranked teams advancing to a Double Elimination Knockout Stage. In addition to earning CP, the top-performing national teams in qualifying-week 3 qualify directly for the FIFAe Continental Championships.

*Direct qualification slots earned through Week 3 performance take precedence over qualification via consistency points awarded across the three qualifying weeks.

Throughout all three qualifying-weeks, the Group Stage of eFootball™ Console and eFootball™ Mobile will be played as a Best of 1, with national teams earning 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, and 0 points for a loss. In the Knockout Stage, the competition format moves to a Best of 2 with Aggregate Score. If the Matchup is tied after the 2nd leg, a decisive Golden Goal Game will be played.

In the Rocket League competition, the Group Stage format returns to the known and beloved Best of 2 format. If a team wins both games of a Best of 2, they will earn 3 points, whereas the losing opponent receives 0 points. If both teams win one game each, both will be awarded 1 point. In the Knockout Stage, all Matchups will be played as a Best of 5.

The FIFAe Continental Championships represent the final qualification step towards the FIFAe World Cup 2026™.

Here, the strongest national teams from each region will compete not only for qualification to the FIFAe World Cup 2026™, but also for the title of the first-ever FIFAe Continental Champions.

There are two ways for national teams to qualify to this stage:

Direct Qualification (qualifying-week 3) – Top-performing teams in the Knockout Stage of qualifying-week 3 qualify directly for the FIFAe Continental Championships.

Consistency Points Ranking – The remaining qualification spots are awarded to national teams with the highest CP across all qualifying-weeks.
