Linked Competitions

The eChampions League 2024 Knockout Round and Round of 16 brought intense competition, unexpected results, and remarkable individual performances. Popular players made their way to the finals, but many who were assumed would be at the finals bid farewell to the last stage of the competition.

Highlights

Montaxer's victory over PHzin was one of the biggest surprises and the biggest comeback of the Round of 16. PHzin's impressive track record and numerous trophies and Montaxer, who has shown significant improvement over the past year, faced a challenging first half in which the Italian was at a disadvantage by 1-0. However, Montaxer managed not only to equalize but also to surpass the score in the last minutes, ultimately securing a remarkable 4-1 victory against the 2-time FIFAe Nations Cup Champion.

After his victory against PHzin, Montaxer shared his thoughts: "I think this year he (PHzin) was the best player in the game. So I'm really happy (...) I think I was losing a lot of balls in the first half. Even if I was defending, I think really, really good. But yeah, in the second half I unlocked both fullbacks because I knew that I had to be more aggressive (...)"

Jonny continued his undefeated streak with a commanding 3-1 win over KeturDylo. Known for his defensive skills, Jonny has conceded only four goals in the tournament so far, showcasing his tactical prowess and composure under pressure. His next match on 29 May in the eChampions League Quarter Finals will be against Montaxer and definitely a must-watch.

Bonanno emerged victorious against Levi de Weerd in a thrilling 5-3 match, showcasing his impressive offensive skills. This result was not unexpected, given the Argentinian's recent performances in the eChampions League which have been full of goals (both for and against). Unlike his Manchester City teammate and popular favorite, Tekkz, Bonanno has successfully advanced to the quarterfinals, demonstrating his ability to thrive under pressure.

Danipitbull defeated the four-time Champion of the eLigue 1, Fouma, with a match full of goals for a total of 6-4. The Dsyre Juventus player then clinched his spot in the quarterfinals with a win over NKantee, who had qualified directly to the Round of 16.

DFernandes secured a narrow 6-5 victory against Neat in a closely contested match. These players had previously faced each other in the LALIGA FC PRO Cup, where the Real Valladolid player had emerged victorious against DFernandes.

Ekmenn94, who qualified to the eChampions League after winning Belgium's ePro League, managed to defeat the FIFAe World Cup 2022 Champion, Umut, in a harsh victory with a final score of 6-3.

Manubachoore, maintaining his composure and calculated thinking throughout the tournament, secured his spot in the quarterfinals after a closely contested match against Ekmenn. He now faces his PSV Eindhoven and Team Gullit teammate, Yilmaz. Although they are familiar opponents, this matchup promises to be highly competitive and will definitely be a quality must-watch.

After luconegua advanced to the Round of 16 defeating Feldman, levyfinn defeated the Torino Esports player in a match full of goals, in which the ultimate score was 5-3. Levy now faces DFernandes in the quarter finals.
