The 2026 season expands the competitive pathway for national teams, with a record 85 nations set to compete on the road to the FIFAe World Cup 2026™. The season is set to kick off in April with the inaugural FIFAe Nations League.

The FIFAe Nations League marks the first stage on the Road to the Finals, taking place across three online qualifying-weeks. Each week opens with a Single Round Robin Group Stage, ensuring that all teams compete against every opponent within their group. Based on these results, teams advance into the Knockout Stage, which is played in a Single Elimination format in Weeks 1 and 2, followed by a Double Elimination format in Week 3. Throughout the competition, teams earn Consistency Points based on their performances in both the group and knockout stages. At the end of Week 3, the highest ranked nations in the overall standings, alongside the top performers from Week 3, secure their place in the FIFAe Continental Championships.

The FIFAe Continental Championships represent the final step on the road to the FIFAe World Cup 2026™, bringing together the strongest teams from each region. Here, competition reaches its peak as nations battle not only for qualification to the FIFAe World Cup 2026™, but also for the title of the first ever FIFAe Continental Champions.
