eDivisie 2024-25

The KPN eDivisie is organized by the Dutch league Eredivisie, in which 18 Eredivisie clubs compete for the coveted national title. Besides the championship and associated prize money, the winner and runner-up qualify for the FC Pro World Championship. Eredivisie clubs finishing in the top 4 of the final standings also qualify for the eChampions League. This competition runs from 5 November until 30 March.

Competition structure

Similarly to last season, the eDivisie 2024-25 consists of 18 teams competing in a Round Robin format, divided into 4 periods. Here’s how the tournament is structured:

Group Stage (Round Robin)

All 18 teams participate in a Round Robin format, where each team competes against the others.

The tournament is split into 4 distinct periods, with each period providing an opportunity to secure a spot in the Finals.

At the end of each period, the team with the highest score in that period automatically qualifies for the Finals and receives a prize of EUR 2'500.

Playoffs

In addition to the 4 period winners, 3 other teams with the highest overall rankings, who did not win a period, will also qualify directly for the Finals. This brings the total to 7 teams in the Finals.

The next 8 best teams in the rankings, outside of those who have already qualified for the Finals, will enter the Playoffs.

The Playoffs are a last chance to enter the Finals for those teams who have not qualified, presenting a single-elimination format, with the winner advancing to the Finals to join the other 7 teams.
