eLiga Portugal 2025 Etapa 1

The eLiga Portugal, organized by Liga Portugal, features all 18 Liga Portugal clubs battling for the prestigious national title. Beyond the championship trophy and a share of the €25,000 prize pool, the winner and runner-up qualify for the eChampions League. The Etapa 1 or Phase 1 starts on 3 February and runs until 15 February.

Competition Structure

The eLiga Portugal 2024-25 is divided into two main phases, following a similar format to previous editions. The first phase is crucial as it determines the eight best clubs that will advance to the second phase: the eLiga Portugal Finals.

Phase 1

The first phase consists of three individual stages, each contributing to an overall leaderboard where teams accumulate points based on their performances.

Teams earn points after each stage based on their final placement:

  • Stage Winner – 500 points
  • 2nd Place – 300 points
  • 3rd & 4th Places – 180 points each
  • 5th to 7th Places – 90 points each
  • 3rd Place in Groups – 45 points
  • 4th Place in Groups – 20 points

At the end of the three stages, the eight teams with the highest points qualify for the eLiga Portugal Finals.

Format of Each Stage

Each of the three stages follows the same structure:

  1. Group Stage (Online)
    • Three groups of six teams each.
    • All teams in a group face each other in a round-robin format.
    • The top two teams from each group, plus the two best third-placed teams, qualify for the playoffs.
  2. Playoffs (Offline at Liga Portugal Arena)
    • The 8 teams that advance from the group stage compete in a single-elimination bracket.
    • The winner of each stage earns 500 points toward the overall leaderboard.

Qualification for the eLiga Portugal Finals

At the end of all phases, the eight highest-ranked teams on the leaderboard, based on their cumulative points across the three stages, qualify for the eLiga Portugal Finals.

Prize Pool

The eLiga Portugal offers a €25,000 prize pool, distributed among the top-performing teams.
