The VBL Club Championship playoffs by WOW

Playoff feeling in the “Strassenkicker Base” in Cologne: Starting with the VBL Club Championship playoffs, which are taking place as an offline event for the first time, the weeks of decisions begin. One day before the final weekend, twelve clubs, which had each qualified above ranks three to eight during the division phase, are playing for the last six open places in the final tournament. The new game mode “Ultimate Team”, which has been introduced since this season, promises even more excitement. As a result, it is now possible for all individual games of a knockout matchup to be decided after a potential extra time or even a possible penalty shootout. Whoever maintains the upper hand in “best-of-three” mode qualifies for the final.

Compared to last season, the number of participants in this year's offline final has increased from eight to ten clubs. With SV Werder Bremen (2018/19, 2019/20) and RB Leipzig (2021/22, 2022/23), two of the three previous club champions of the competition introduced in 2018 have already certainly qualified.
