The FIFAe World Cup featuring eFootball™ Console and FIFAe World Cup featuring eFootball™ Mobile started on 9 December and continue the group stage on 10 December.
The two competitions run until 12 December, where the knockout stage will see two Champions: one for each platform
Popular nations like Morocco and India start the mobile competition with the right foot, while Türkiye, Brazil, France and Indonesia cruise through the group stage of the console competition
The Group Stage of both FIFAe World Cup featuring eFootball™ Console and FIFAe World Cup featuring eFootball™ Mobile kicked off on 9 December consecutively, with excellent team and individual performances on the stage. Players from each nation played for points in the group stage, facing challenging matches and intense emotions throughout the first day.
Here are some of our favorite highlights of Day 1:
The FIFAe World Cup featuring eFootball™ Console opened with several favorites: Korea, Malaysia, England, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Poland, India, and Indonesia.
After the first round, France emerged on top, showcasing impressive teamwork and tactical knowledge.
Malaysia managed to climb to fourth place, despite a narrow defeat by a single goal in their latest match.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia struggled to find their pace, failing to record a win and settling for draws up through Round 3. Even then, after defeating Costa Rica in Round 4, they managed to secure the fourth place in the table.
France, Indonesia, Türkiye, Morocco, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, remain undefeated on Day 1 and head their respective tables, leading an advantage for Day 2.
In Group B, early results were equally competitive. Brazil took on Japan—one of the tournament’s favorites—and secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory.
India’s DaNiAL made a strong opening statement by defeating England 7-0 in the first round and ultimately emerged as the dominant player in Group A, remaining undefeated across the first four rounds and consistently posting high goal counts in each match.
In a highly anticipated matchup between Indonesia and India, both considered tournament favorites, DaNiAL secured a narrow 3-2 victory, with Indonesia’s GARUDAFRANC putting up an exceptional performance.
The contest between Japan and Brazil was equally intense. Brazil’s PV_efootball opened the scoring, but Japan’s SHIGE. came back to lead 2-1 by the 71st minute, ultimately clinching the match.
Costa Rica’s Mayorquin_822 delivered an impressive performance against England, achieving a solid 4-0 win. This result helped restore the team’s morale following earlier challenges during the FIFAe World Cup featuring eFootball™ Console stage.
Korea’s DK—DK also went undefeated and with an overall strong pace being able to defeat Brazil and Spain’s MoNo_vlc14 throughout the first four rounds.
Saudi Arabia vs Argentina’s match on Round 2 was tight and full of emotions in the players' booths, ending up with Luckz99 winning in the very last moment with a 3-2.
Morocco’s popular AN10_Tienes also dominated the first rounds against Türkiye, Portugal and Poland, and ultimately, defeating the host nation’s Adnan_90 claiming the leading place in the table.
Malaysia’s MINBAPPE also painted a difference scenery for his nation in the Mobile competition, as he managed to go through the first rounds of the group stage without a defeat, granting Malaysia a more optimistic outlook than in the console competition.
Overall, individual and team performances varied significantly between nations, resulting in evidently different standings and competition dynamics across the two tournaments.
The FIFAe World Cup featuring eFootball™ Console and the FIFAe World Cup featuring eFootball™ Mobile continue on Day 2 (10 December) with the second part of the group stage, where they face five more rounds to accumulate points and hopefully secure a spot in the top four of the table. The best four of each group advance to the knockout stages in their respective competitions. The tension rises and emotions get high - we cannot wait!
