As part of our ongoing weekly series on the world of football esports, this week's coverage includes detailed recaps of the events that have sealed the final contestants of the eChampions League and the FC PRO World Championship and Play-ins. In addition, eFootball club competitions are close to coming to an end, as the Arsenal and Manchester United Club Finals start finishing up with their qualified players for this summer. On the RLCS side, the qualifiers for the RLCS Major 2 are still open to more surprises.

eLigue 1 Uber Eats Grand Final

The 2024 eLigue 1 Uber Eats Grand Final held on 29 April featured an intense showdown between FC Lorient and Olympique Lyonnais. Represented by Fouma and Montaxer, FC Lorient secured their fourth consecutive championship in this highly competitive match after a tough best-of-seven match against Leks and KeturDylo, finalizing in a narrow victory.

For Montaxer, the eLigue 1 represents a significant first-time triumph, while Fouma, already a familiar figure at the pinnacle of this league, has clinched the title four times. This victory marks both a milestone for Montaxer and adds another crown to Fouma's already impressive record within football esports.

The eLiga Portugal, however, did not end without one last title at stake: The four best teams of the season competed in the Supertaça eLiga Portugal. The two finalists of the eLiga Portugal (Estorial Praia and FC Famalicão), as well as the two finalists of the eLiga Portugal Cup (Geekcase Vizela and SL Benfica TP were present in the competition.
