Competition Structure

The RLCS 2025 Birmingham Major features a two-stage competition format, familiar to RLCS fans and players:

1. Swiss Stage (27 -28 March): All 16 teams participate in a Swiss-system tournament, where teams compete in multiple rounds against opponents with similar records. Matches are best-of-five(BO5), and teams aim to secure three wins to advance. The top eight teams advance to the Playoffs.
2. Playoffs (29-30): These 8 teams from the Swiss Stage move to the Playoffs, which follow a hybrid elimination bracket. The top four teams from the Swiss stage start the playoffs with two chances before the Final Four, while the teams in the 5th to 8th place start with one chance. Matches are best-of-seven (Bo7), culminating in the Grand Final to determine the Major Champion.
