RLCS 2025 - World Championship

The Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) 2025 marks the fourteenth season of Rocket League’s premier team competition. Running from 10 to 14 September at the LDLC Arena in Décines-Charpieu, Lyon, France, the tournament brings together top teams from around the world to compete for the title.

This year introduces several notable updates, including the integration of 1v1 matches, the introduction of Last Chance Qualifiers, and an expanded World Championship roster, increasing from 16 to 20 teams.

Competition structure

Play-In (10 September)

The World Championship begins with an 8-team GSL-style Play-In stage.

  • All matches are best-of-five (Bo5).
  • The top 4 teams advance to the Group Stage.

Group Stage (11- 12 September)

The 16-team Group Stage includes the four Play-In qualifiers.

  • Teams are divided into two groups of eight in a GSL format.
  • All matches are best-of-five (Bo5).
  • The top four teams from each group (eight total) progress to the Playoffs.

Playoffs (13-14 September)

The Playoffs adopt the AFL Final Eight system:

  • Teams finishing in the top four of the Group Stage start with two opportunities to reach the Final Four.
  • Teams ranked 5th–8th begin with one chance.
  • All matches are best-of-seven (Bo7).

The crowd will be able to enter the arena on the final days (12-14 September)

Prize pool

The RLCS 2025 World Championship features a USD 1,200,000 prize pool, distributed among all participating teams according to their final placement in the event.
