The eMLS returns for its 2024 season, featuring 22 top-tier EA SPORTS FC 24 competitors from across North America representing 22 MLS clubs.
These clubs playing each other once again, as they did in the Series 1. This year is highlighted by the two prominent League Series events in February and March.
Structure of the competition
The distribution of the competition is divided into three major events:
League Series 1 (16 February - 18 February) with Qualifier, Group Stage and Playoffs.
League Series 2 (1 March - 3 March) with Qualifier, Group Stage and Playoffs.
eMLS Cup (9 March - 10 March) with a Group Stage and a Bracket Final.
Group Stage and Playoffs
20 out of 22 participants advance from the qualifier rounds. These 20 qualified players compete in the Group Stage, which divides these into 4 groups of 5 participants.
From the Group Stage, only 8 players move to the Knockout stage, consisting in a single elimination tournament,
This process is the same for both League Series 1 and League Series 2. Both of the events also have the same format across their stages: 1v1 in Bo1 matches.
eMLS Cup
The LS1 Qualifier and LS2 Qualifier are combined in a table, and the participants played in a single round-robin league play. The 2 series winners (Paulo Neto and Jafonsogv), plus the other top 4 players from the combined table advanced to eMLS Cup Playoffs. The 16 remaining players play the eMLS Cup Group Stage.
What's the prize?
The prize pool of the whole tournament is of $75,000 and direct bids for the top two players from eMLS Cup to the EA FC Pro World Championship, where they compete to be named best in the world.
