FIFAe Club Series 2022™

The pinnacle event for competitive FIFA esports clubs is back. Who will be crowned the FIFAe Club World Cup™ Champion? Follow the progress of all clubs involved as the qualification of this year’s FIFAe Club Series™ will be played out in a remote online format with players competing from home in zone-based tournaments , featuring different zones and 12 Conferences all across the world. The pinnacle event comes in summer 2022 - where the best clubs will meet offline to decide who becomes the FIFAe Club Champion.

About the competition

Clubs interested in participating will need to register on FIFA.GG by the end of October 2021. Based on the location of the nominated players, the club is allocated to a server zone, where they will be seeded into one of the qualification stages.

Following the format of the FIFAe Club Series 2021™, the online qualifiers consist of separate conferences in each of the zones- each conference with a maximum of three divisions with eight clubs each.

There can be a maximum of 80 clubs per conference, filled by the seeding. The first two divisions in each conference are filled directly by the top 16 clubs according to the seeding.

Each conference then also includes one pre-qualification stage consisting of one double-elimination bracket with the remaining 64 open club slots, also filled by the seeding. At the end of this pre-qualification bracket, eight teams will qualify to make up the third division in the official four qualifying weeks.

Throughout the qualifying weeks, clubs can be relegated or promoted from their division based on their performance in the weekly double elimination brackets.  The lower divisions will be eliminated before week 3 and 4 from their Conference. Similar to the FIFAe Club Online Qualifiers 2021™, only the very best and most consistent clubs qualify to the FIFAe Club Playoffs™.

From the FIFAe Club Playoffs™, only the top clubs will qualify for the pinnacle event - the FIFAe Club World Cup 2022™, taking place in summer 2022. There, they will be joined by clubs, qualifying from the FUT Team of the Year Cup and the FUT Team of the Season Cup respectively.

Throughout the FIFAe Club Series™, all teams will have the chance to fight against their rivals for ultimate glory and the brightest spotlight to become a FIFAe Club World Cup™ champion.

About the EA FUT Cups

The FIFA Global Series Open consists of 16 online team tournaments, taking place in December, all across the world in different regions. The winning team of each of the Open tournaments will earn a seat at the Team of the Year Cup, the first FUT Champions Cup of the season. To qualify for an Open tournament, the team captain must be one of the top ranked registered players at the end of the season (November 12th, 2021) in each region.

The Team of the Year Cup will be the first in-person global competition in two years - and the winning team will earn a seat at the FIFAe Club World Cup 2022™. The top 16 teams will also reserve themselves a spot in the Group Stage of the Team of the Season Cup in the spring, the biggest event of the season.

The Team of the Season cup will consist of a Group Stage, Championship Bracket, and conditions permitting, a large in-person 256 team open bracket from April 29th, 2022 to May 1st, 2022.

The 16 teams from the Team of the Year Cup will start the tournament in the Group Stage and will be divided into four round-robin groups. Each group will consist of five teams with the last spot left open for a team from the large open bracket - which is available to top finishers in the latest season of FUT Division Rivals and placements from online tournaments.

These groups lead into the Championship Bracket, which consists of 24 teams and determines the overall winner of the event - who will earn a direct invitation to the FIFAe Club World Cup 2022™.
