The Rocket League Championship Series 2024 has concluded with Team BDS securing the championship title after a series of thrilling matches in the Dickies Arena, Dallas. Sixteen of the world’s best Rocket League teams competed from 10 to 15 September massive event for a share of the $1,165,000 prize pool. The Swiss did not only claimed the championship title but also a $300,000 prize share after showcasing incredible skill and resilience throughout the tournament.

A Tough Path to the Finals

The journey to the finals was challenging for both Team BDS and G2 Stride, who ultimately became the finalists. In the playoffs, Team BDS had a close semifinal match against Team Falcons, winning 4-3 and securing their spot in the finals. Meanwhile, G2 Stride battled FURIA in a nail-biting elimination match in the lower bracket. G2 Stride managed to edge out FURIA with a golden goal in the seventh game, securing their spot in the finals.

FURIA made a notable impact on the tournament, playing over 10 intense games that included three long overtimes. FURIA's performance pushed G2 Stride to the edge and demonstrated their capability to control the game's pace, focusing on defense and forcing their opponents into offensive strategies.

Despite falling to Team BDS twice during the competition - once after the Swiss stage and again in the Grand Final - G2 Stride had some shining moments, building on their earlier success at the RLCS Major 2 in London, where they claimed victory earlier in the year.

In the Grand Finals, the American team started strong, dominating the first game with a 5-0 win. However, Team BDS adapted quickly and claimed a 4-2 victory to secure the championship title. G2 Stride's overall performance earned them a well-deserved second place and a prize of $150,000, reinforcing their standing as a formidable team in the Rocket League esports scene.
