FIFAe Club Series 2023™

The competition will be played on the PlayStation 5 edition of FIFA 23. All games will be played in a 2v2 format via the Competition Mode with your own FIFA Ultimate Team. All games will be played through the respective servers of each region.

Squad restrictions may apply and will be updated by FIFA as the season progresses.

For this, it is important that you provide/update your correct PSN and EA IDs on your FIFA.GG profile so that we can make sure that your account can be unlocked for the competition mode. Please pay close attention to upper and lower cases. Failing to provide correct PSN and EA IDs may result in you not being able to participate in the FIFAe Club Online Qualifiers 2023.

Once you have created a club and added at least 2 players to the roster, you can sign up for the FIFAe Club Series 2023. You can find more information about the registration process for the FIFAe Club Series 2023 here in our blog post.

Important: Club registration will only be considered ‘COMPLETE’ once the club and at least 2 players have completed the registration process and are added to your competition squad.

There will be multiple zones that you can choose from. Unlike in the past, FIFA will not restrict you to zones where your athletes are residents - you'll be able to use athletes that come from two different zones, as long as they agree on one zone to compete in. You cannot change the zone from which you are competing once the registration phase has concluded.

It is clearly recommended to play all games from within the countries indicated that belong to one zone! Otherwise, athletes competing from outside these countries may have a significantly different gaming experience!

No, since all games are played through the respective servers of the zone, the gameplay should not be negatively affected for those playing from that respective zone.

Yes - in general, it should be noted that FIFA club names already in existence cannot be used and the new name must be clearly distinguishable from them. In addition, it should be noted that the club name cannot be offensive, or may violate any laws / treaties or intellectual property. The exact regulations can be found in section 4.1 of the Terms & Conditions.

If a bigger organization is registering multiple independent teams, please also note that the respective teams must be clearly distinguishable from each other in name and logo. If this is not the case, you may be requested to change your club’s name. In this case, you will be contacted directly by FIFA.

If you want to rename your existing club, please send a mail with all relevant information to FIFAeClubWorldCup@FIFA.org. The email should include the following information: reasoning of renaming, new club name with correct spelling, new logo (if necessary), and contact details. FIFA will then evaluate your case and contact you.

Firstly, clubs with verification status and Club Ranking Points are seeded. The more Club Ranking Points a club has, the higher it will be seeded.

Secondly, clubs that are verified but do not yet have any ranking points are seeded. The determining factor will be the time of their full registration. This is automatically determined by the system. Once the club and at least two athletes complete the registration, a club is considered as “registered” and will be listed in the seeding.

Lastly, all unverified clubs are seeded. Again, this will be determined based on the time of registration.

There are several ways to become verified as a club. A club is automatically verified as soon as it has earned ranking points in the previous season. A club can also submit an application for verification with sufficient proof that the club is a legal, professional entity. For football clubs, the club licensing certificate is adequate. Registered companies or brands should upload a copy of the company’s non-public (commercial) registration or the team's brand registration with accurate authenticity as a proof of the legal entity of your team. The official club registration form does not need to be in English but should provide understandable proof that your club is registered at a national or local authority as a legal entity.

Please be aware that the system, if you have already registered, will change your seeding automatically once your club is verified. Therefore, it is possible to already register for the competition whilst still submitting the verification documents.

Verification documents submitted until the end of the registration period will be considered for a club to receive verification status for the FIFAe Club Series 2023 season.

All necessary information, about tournament format/qualification to the next stage of the tournament for the respective zone can be found in the blog post. Therefore, we recommend you to read it in detail! However, changes might still happen depending on the number of registrations per zone.

Since this is only the beginning of the season, updates will be posted to the respective competition stages once available.

Yes, squad restrictions will be communicated prior to the start of each qualifying week. 

Club managers have to nominate their athletes before the start of each individual game of the FIFAe Club Series 2023. Unlike in previous seasons, it is now allowed to substitute athletes in-between games and matchups, meaning all athletes nominated to the competition roster could potentially be used during a qualifying week.

After each stage of the FIFAe Club Online Qualifiers 2023, participating clubs will have the opportunity to add Free Agents to their competition roster during the Free Agency Phase.

There will be a Free Agency Phase between the Pre-Qualification and the Online Qualification (Phase 1) and a Free Agency Phase between the Online Qualification and the Playoffs (Phase 2):

Phase 1: January 10th – January 24th

Phase 2: April 12th – May 1st

All athletes that have not been nominated for another club during any stage of the FIFAe Club Online Qualifiers 2023 will be considered as Free Agents. During each Free Agency Phase the maximum club roster size will increase by one spot.

Phase 1: five (5) -> six (6)

Phase 2: six (6) -> seven (7)

A detailed description of the Free Agency Phase will be shared with all qualified clubs via mail.

Yes, there will be a live event again this year. The location and dates will be announced later during the season. For this year’s live event, the same equipment regulations as for last season’s FIFAe Finals will apply. You can also find the exact equipment regulations at the end of the blog post.
